Jake Davidson, a high
school senior from Los Angeles asked Sports Illustrated model Kate Upton to be
his prom date via a YouTube video.
In the clip, titled
"Kate Upton, Will You Go to Prom With Me?," Jake explains why Upton
should be his date.
"Kate, can I
call you Katie? OK, Kate works," Jake says in the video, while taking a
shower.
He goes on to
explain that he can't dance and he's shorter than her, but they do have a lot
in common
And Jake might just
get his perfect prom….The model tweeted back to him Tuesday, saying, "you
can call me Katie if you want! How could I turn down that video! I'll check my
schedule "
Jake was then
surprised on NBC's "Today" show this morning by a phone call from
Upton.
"This just got
so much better now that you're on the phone," he said before pitching his
prom night to her.
"I'm telling
you it will be a great night, great evening. I could even get the curfew
extended hopefully by my parents. I hope you'd be interested if your schedule
is free, and what time should I pick you up if you are interested?"
Upton, 20, told the
teen he seems like a lot of fun but she has to check her schedule.
If the date goes
through, Jake might just have to work on changing that 11 p.m. curfew.
Another sentencing, another mug shot for Lindsay Lohan.
She escaped serving jail time, instead of being booked and
then released.
The good news for us is that we get to add another entry to
our ever-growing collection of Lohan's prison-themed glamour shots.
The troubled 26-year-old actress accepted a plea deal on
Monday in a misdemeanor car-crash case that includes 90 days in a locked-down
rehab facility that she won't be able to leave.
She also has to do 30 days of community labor, 18 months of
psychotherapy in addition to fines.
After Beyonces last performance at the presidents inaugural ball. Where she confessed to lip syncing the national anthem she comes back with a bang. Beyoncé opened her Super Bowl Press Conference by singing the National Anthem. A Capella. Then said “Any questions?" I'm sure alot if people will be looking forward to her performance at the Super Bowl. The big question will be, if she's lip syncing or not !?!
Justin Bieber continues his reign on the pop charts. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, "Believe Acoustic" will take the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 200 next week. That makes five chart-toppers for the 18-year-old singer.
The actual figures will be out Wednesday, but Billboard
expects the album to move 100,000 units.
"Believe Acoustic" is a follow-up to 2012's "Believe," which saw Bieber transition from a purely teen sensibility to a more adult songwriter and performer (signaled in part by the album's guest features: Drake, Big Sean, Ludacris and Nicki Minaj).
